I'd go with a Sheldon nut for ease of install, but a daruma under the fork crown would be another option. Darumas come in different lengths, so you'd need to do a little measuring to get the right one.
Do you already have the fender you'll be installing? And do you plan on ever taking the fender off for dry weather? https://velo-orange.com/products/vo-fork-crown-eye-bolt-for-fenders-and-racks-fork-crown-daruma?keyword=daruma https://www.renehersecycles.com/shop/equipment/fenders/honjo-fork-daruma/ Danny Madison, WI On Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:17:36 PM UTC-6 J Imler wrote: > [image: IMG_1083.png] > But[image: IMG_1082.png] > > > > On Monday, December 15, 2025 at 7:26:49 PM UTC-8 J Imler wrote: > >> Hi, >> Would anyone have advice on how to install a front fender on a Cheviot >> with side pull brakes and has a Mark's rack installed?
