RJM ...... The Bombadil works just fine on the road too. The feedback here is Atlantis biased because it's been around since 1999, not many have a Bombadil yet, even fewer a Hunqapillar. I use my Bombabil on and off road. I don't transport my bike, so I gotta ride to whatever trail I'm riding, and the Bombadil suits this perfectly.
I'd say get the one(s) that fit you best. For example, I didn't buy an Atlantis because of the top tube in my size. The Bombadil is about 2cm. longer and fits me perfectly using Albatross bars. The Bombadil's more sloping TT makes getting bars higher easier for me, without resorting to an overly tall stem. No offense to the Technomic lovers , but I don't like those stems. If you look at the Atlantis Bomabdil and Hunqapillar specs, you'll see they are quite different in fit and sizing.
