I don't know about the frame. RBW putting a "no sale to 250lb+"
statement on the web-site entry for the Roadeo (regardless of how
serious that really is) suggests that the Roadeo would not be a good
idea for this. Is the RB1 built with similar strength tubes/layout?
Lighter? Heavier? I've no idea.

I'd be more worried about the rear wheel and the Silver Hupe.

I weigh about 250 and sit bolt upright; 36-spoke XT/SynergyOC rim
wheels work fine but I must say I like the extra added caution of my
40-spoke Phil FW hub/Dyad combination. If you've got wheels you're
comfortable with, cool.

As for the Silver Hupe: I wonder whether it'll spring up and down,
exacerbating the bounce-and-sway of a well-loaded Medium SaddleSack
(say, 10lbs). I had a similar sort of wire-frame support for a little
while; I ended up getting rid of it and instead supporting the
SaddleSack with a strap through my saddle's frame and through the
SaddleSack's bottom D-rings. This approach stablized it much better.
If you don't heavily load the SaddleSack, maybe you won't have that
issue. Or maybe the Silver Hupe is a fundamentally more sound support
than the one I was using. I'm thinking of trying one out for other
bags anyway; maybe I'll find out for myself.

Yours,
Thomas Lynn Skean
