(Disclaimer of personal bias): I am a very satisfied owner of a twin- TT Bombadil. I've had time to let this settle in my brain, as well as a chance to actually see it in person. In fact, this is the same color as my Bombadil, and component-wise it's close, so it offers a very fair visual comparison. (Other disclaimer: I did NOT ride this, so I cannot speak to the quality of the ride). From a purely visual perspective I'm sorry to say it just doesn't work for me... at all. And in my humble (if not outspoken) opinion this design to a large degree robs the bike of its aesthetic appeal... (I realize this may sound offensive, but I feel the need to be brutally honest, especially since I am so passionate about Rivendell bikes). In fact, I implore the creative minds at Riv to please go BACK to the old design. I marvel (daily) at the sheer beauty of my Bombadil. Others marvel at it. With this change the Bombadil has lost its dazzle, I'm afraid. Apologies to the creative minds at Riv and to those who see beauty and dazzle in this (very bold and brave) design; I certainly mean no disrespect, and I trust you welcome a variety of opinion.
