I have spent a few days at Abique, actually. No (more serious) ephiphany then, but a salutory visit nonetheless. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful little church -- it was in some disrepair when I was there, some 5 or so years ago. Are you Orthodox (upper case)? When were you there?
