given the significant road portion and that you won't have much load, i'd
say that JBs'll be fine. there are some fairly rutted/rocky sections, so
your mileage may vary, but it's all downhill and fairly gradual. anyway, it
comes down to skill and weight.

i would probably ride 40mm anyway since i don't think that wide a tire is
much slower (depending on so much, again--my standard is the mara supreme),
but you won't need the tread so if your treadless/low road resistance option
is just the jb--do it.
