Just returned from a trail ride here in Orange County. Had to cut it short as the rain got serious, but before that, the dampish sandy conditions provided excellent traction. No snow down here.....yet!
Us southern Californians have to be especially careful due to unfamiliarity with riding in the wet. Andy M's experience on the Seattle ride is Exhibit A.
