Of course, the biggest advantage to bolt cutters is so that when you
lose the key to the lock that is locking the shed where you have your
work stand and gardening tools and a bunch of other stuff you can cut
the lock off.  That's why I have mine.  

It's also a great way to guarantee that you'll find the key a year or
two later.
