1. Nishiki Riviera GT 25 inch or 63cm c to top full touring bike,tt
about 58 cm, made in
Japan by the high end handmade branch of Nishiki, Kawamura. Very good
paint. Circa 1983 or 1984, estimated under 1K miles during life of bike to date.
Tange double butted tubing; long horizontal dropouts; no shifter bosse
except for the top mount one found on some 1980s bikes. Braze ons for racks
and fenders; mid fork low rider braze ons; clearance for about 40mm
tires or mid 30s ish with fenders.

Built with an eclectic mix of parts, and converted to 700c from the
original 27 inch wheels. Nitto drop bars and stem; OEM Japanese
seatpost; 36 spoke wheels with 7 speed Deore XT hub, Dura Ace front
hub, new Specialized Hemisphere tires, 38 mm; silver eyeletted French rims
from the 1980s; matching Deore XT rear derailleur; Deore front
derailleur. Downtube shifters can easily
be converted to bar ends. Shimano aero brake levers; rear rack; high
profile cantilevers (Shimano rear; Dia Compe front); a good quality
frame with decent parts that weighs less and costs less than the
modern options, and has the advantage of lugs, and of non oversized
tubing. Silver Blackburn rack, Zefal HpX pump, SKS fenders, your choice
of old Shimano M540 or MKS Touring pedals with Soma 2-tongue clips and
nice straps.

Packed and ready to ship by my brother Peter who has shipped scores of
frames and whose packing is as secure, if not as pretty, as
Rivendell's. $500 + actual shipping and insurance in two boxes CONUS.
Will ship outside CONUS ("outside" includes Canada) for extra fee, to
be negotiated, and postage).

2. 1973 Motobecane Grand Record, 58 c-c, ~57 tt, French standards, old
paint but lively (531 and a thinwall version of that to boot) tubing
built with:

with Surley 17/20 Dingle,Shimano DH 3h N72 Dynohub, silver, 31 14 g
front, 15 g straight rear (builder's mistake but no problems so far),
IRC Tandem 30s f/r.
* Phil French 113 bb bearing assembly with '80s Stronglight crankset,
170 mm, with single 44 t ring and black M324s.
* Wonderful old Simplex sp; no saddle.
*French headset, don't know what it is, but it's smooth and tight.
*9 cm French stem, don't know what it is; bars negotiable but
currently nice 44 cm 185s.
* Aero, pre STI, pre-plastic Dura Ace levers, left body only, right
pulling Ultegra (I think; Shimano in any event) long reach dual pivot
with salmon pads.
* PB frame pump, cheap non-nonsense computer with sensor Shoe Goo'd to
inside fork leg, brass bell, the old, good kind of screw-tighten bar
end plugs -- forget name but you know it.
*Tubus Fly rack.
*VO non-polished fender
* IQ Fly front and Toplight rear (rear somewhat buggered but
functionally fine until you want to remove the wires -- in short, I JB
Welded the wires to the terminals), PB Superflash supplement.

Will discuss parting out.

$500 + actual shipping and insurance in two boxes CONUS. Will ship
outside CONUS ("outside" includes Canada) for extra fee, to be
negotiated, and postage).

When all the stars are dead.
