Ok, that was quick.  without popping the lever blade out i was able to
fix it, through some poking and prodding i was able to get the allen
bolt out of the body, it's attached to a square plastic washer.  i
could not get the bolt and washer to go in as one piece (would not
fit, when i got it out it came out upside down), but i was able to
carefully pop off the plastic washer, insert that first then insert
the bolt.  though it would've worked without the square washer.

Phew, now that's done i'll go about putting the new hoods on, terrible
style of me though, dia-compe hoods on shimano levers :)
