I carried everything for an S24O in a medium SS and a front trunck
sack last year. This didn't include a tent but I definitely had
everything that I needed. I realize what one needs can vary depending
on weather, comfort needs, food, etc... Still, I would think that a
Large SS could do the job.

And even more minimal load was used on my first S24O back in 2007:

And to the original poster, great pictures. Thanks for posting.

I camped out at Samuel P. Taylor many times when in Boyscouts and a
couple of times in the 80s when I went out there with friends and a
ton of beer. When I started cycling in the 90s I would often ride the
bike path through there but never had a desire to bike camp, but
now... if I was still in SF I'm sure I'd make it an S24O destination
along with Pt Reyes and especially Pantoll. Pantoll seems like a
really great destination for a weekday S240 with easy access to Peet's
in Mill Valley for coffee in the morning. Maybe even a little
excursion up RR Grade before heading to Peet's.

I may have to go bike camping tomorrow night as the weather in PDX is
supposed to be great.
