Just FYI, I also live in an apartment, and just hang my bikes on hooks that I screwed into the ceiling. They were maybe $2 each from Home Depot, covered in rubber. I am pretty tall and am able to reach the bike up to hang it on the hooks.
Works for me, and haven't had any problems with wheels bending or anything like that. Has worked for me.
