You're right on both accounts. The Blériot was a steal to begin with, and there is no good replacement anywhere near in value. Also, because it was pulled from the market sooner than expected, I think there was less fatigue. One might argue that the Ram market suffers from Ram-fatigue. And, the Blériot fit a niche that hasn't been replaced, namely the 650 market. Sure, Rivendell still makes 650Bs, but only in smaller frame sizes. I ride a 59 cm, and they just don't make them.
