That was just the introductory offer. Just like with credit cards and cable service, once the introductory period is over, rates rise to their "normal" levels. I was at a tandem rally some years ago, and at a break a guy drove up in a beautifully restored XKE Jaguar. We had a great conversation. He said something I never will forget: "When you have a car like this, you don't actually 'own' it, you are just the custodian, taking care of it for future generations."
