A relatively pleasant day for this time of year: 89*F, and while the humidity was high at 20%, there was a southerly breeze. Down the long Meadowlark hill, slowed behind a line of automobiles slowing to a crawl for the speed bumps, then east/north on Loma Larga on the westside of Corrales, a nicely paved, winding, mildly rolling road with a wide bike lane. I took various detours off onto the tree-lined lanes between LL and Corrales Road, ending up at about 21 miles rt. Even though I told myself I would walk, I made it back up the 1 mile long Meadowlark hill, tho' I rested at the crest. 2003 Riv custom fixed gear commuter with 69" gear. The new Maes Parallel bars from Compass are wonderful: I've raised the stem by about 2 cm, so my flats and the (with the Maeses, much longer) ramps are higher, but the bar is 2 cm longer in reach, so that hooks and hoods are similar to the lower 185 this replaced.
