As part of my October New England Nomadic Sojourn, I'm working on the Maritime segment... Boston - Martha's Vineyard - Cape Cod Loop... a (somewhat ambitious) multi-day, multi-modal light tour that will combine train, boat and bike.
Day One would start with a pedal from some point in Boston to South Station, rolling onto the train (from Boston to Plymouth), then a 45- mile pedal to Woods Hole (scenic, with some rail trail), followed by a ferry to Martha's Vineyard, and a short pedal to lodging/camping, still TBD Day Two would consist of an all-day bike tour of the interior of Martha's Vineyard (which if you've never been is one of the most beautiful places on earth, in my opinion) Day Three would begin with a ferry ride to Hyannis (on Cape Cod), followed by a 50 mile pedal (including the Cape Cod Rail Trail) to Provincetown, ending with a beautiful late afternoon/evening boat ride back into Boston. Boy that would be SOME RIDE!!! Now let me see if all the transportation and lodging components exist to pull this off! Anyone wishing to join me, I hope you like fried clams, chowder and beer... This could be like a Man vs Food Biking episode... Peace, BB -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
