--BMX pedals (even on my singlespeed racing bike). Current model choices include Redline low-rise, Shimano (older style, no longer made) and Crank Bros 5050XX (2010 model). --Chrome Kursk [non-spd] shoes: yes, they're a little overpriced for where they're made and if I had to pay full pop for them I wouldn't. But at cost-plus-ten they're not a bad shoe at all. Very comfortable after a short break-in period, and excellent for my skinny yardstick feet. --Wool sweaters with zip-fronts --RBW Splats. A near-perfect solution to wet shoes, though water still gets in the tops a little in heavy rains. --Rainlegs: perfect for short rides in light rain. Use with splats. --26" wheels; I hardly ever ride my original Rivvy (700c) anymore. All my other bikes -- the All-Rounder, the Big Dummy and the Monocog (racing bike) all have mountain bike wheels and they just work, all the time. No noticable difference in rolling resistance (and frankly all that hooh-hah about rolling resistance has begun to bore me). I'm giving it another year and if this sentiment doesn't chance I may put up the original Rivvy for sale. We'll see. Beth
