I snapped up a pair right away, and I have been using them on the morning
commute, and I used them on two medium distance rides into Marin County. I like
them a lot. They do exactly what they are intended to do -- block wind (I
haven't ridden with them in rain yet). The reason I grabbed onto them quickly
is that I figured everyone else might, too. I see that I misjudged the demand.
Nonetheless, I like and use mine. The back of my hands get cold quickly, and
that has always bothered me. Yet, I don't like wearing gloves because my palms
get hot and sweaty. One of the reasons I don't tape sections on my various
handlebars is that I like wrapping my hot hands around the cool metal of the
bar, even though I don't like the back of my hands being cold and exposed to
the
passing air. It's weird. The mitts solve the problem. In fact, they work so
well
that now the back of my hand becomes a bit too warm, too. I have no doubt that
they would not suit a rider in colder climes at all, but here in SF Bay Area,
in
what passes for winter here, they are …well… really cool!
