Jim -- if it took you several years to get through your box of Remas, you are doing well.
My strategy is just to grit my teeth and get good at flat fixing. I tried various slimes and none worked well enough for my tastes to keep them. FWIW, in my experience, Paselas are more flat prone than Kojaks and Kojaks seem to roll better. (559 variety.) I think the K's have a resistant belt of some sort.
