I enjoy the cheaper velo-orange leather handlebar tape which is no longer available. The newer, more expensive stuff is here: http://store.velo-orange.com/index.php/grand-cru-perf-leather-tape-w-plugs.html
I've ridden this tape in all kinds of weather, done 3 or 4 re-wraps and it's still feels and looks fantastic. Under the leathers is strategically placed cork tape, ripped into bite-sized pieces and electrical taped in place (thank you Jay Ritchey). Here's an image of A. Homer following the most recent re-wrap: http://www.flickr.com/photos/amisingh/6718264511/ Wow, it's like ... shocking blue. Somebody went a little crazy with the HDR Pro iPhone settings (thanks for turning me onto it, Rene!).
