I posted this yesterday from an alternate online persona, but I guess it got hung up in the spam filter.
Anyway, my buddy Weasel recently rode from Minneapolis to New Orleans. Along the way, he had some problems with his Phil Wood cassette hub. Long story short, Phil said to send it in for repair (no charge, of course). It came back yesterday, and not only did Phil replace the culprit parts, it looks like they went above and beyond and replaced almost everything, including the hub shell, drive ring, pawls, several bearings, and possibly the freehub. In other words, it almost like a new hub. Along the way, however, Weasel decided he's going to replace the hub with the disc-compatible version for a forthcoming Surly disc-LHT. The wheel with the thoroughly refurbished Phil hub is now for sale, including: Phil cassette touring hub, 36h, 135 mm, silver Salsa Gordo 26" rim (black with machined sudewalls) Wheelsmith 14g spokes. Asking $350, which includes shipping in conus or $325 locally. Jim 612-727-2565 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
