Great times in the seattle area today, as thousands of cyclists looped
Bainbridge Island in a 32-mile jaunt.

I took the blue rambouillet on the 8:45am ferry, full fenders and
baggins lil' joe bag expecting snow in the forecast. But it turned
out to be sunny most of the way, low 40's for a high. I ended up
wearing my Keen sandals with wool socks and was just fine on the grip
kings.

Saw lots of steel lugged bikes out there, but no riv's :( Granted I
only saw a portion of the total participation, so maybe rivvies were
out there at different times on different parts of the course.

Got lots of comments about the ram with a generic "cool bike man."

One "man awesome chrome" regarding my fenders I guess.

And one guy asked what year my bike is -- I replied "oh-four."
A mile down the road I wondered if he thought I meant 1904 since he
must have thought it was an old bike hence the question.

The ram did awesome, I'm not in the best shape of my life but the
triple gearing allowed me to keep going on the big hills while others
had to walk. My legs are a little sore but my shoulders and neck are
doing great thanks to the higher handlebar position allowed via riv
geometry.

All in all a great day!
