For yesterday's Sunday Social ride (beginner and family friendly. We pedaled 25 mi round trip to a minor league baseball stadium and adjacent park along the river and back) I put a set of Rich built CX/road wheels on an still-newish looking '88 Bridgestone MB-2. These are the Synergy Aeroheat/Phil FW 28s set and with 37mm Paselas on. I was surprised at how nicely it rode. Looking at it in profile, I was reminded of the web catalog shot of the small Bombadil, so I pulled up the specs on both bikes as well as the Hunqa. (the smalls in each)
Bike ST angle HT angle Rake TT length Trail MB-2 73 71 44.5 55.5 62 Bomba 72 70.5 54 56.5 59.2 Hunq 71.5 71 48 54.5 59.2 I know, not exactly the same as either bike, but in the same neck of the woods. The MB-2 has a B-17 saddle, but is otherwise all original. In fact, the only negative on a road ride was I found the Ritchey handlebar uncomfortable after a while. Since I ride MTB so rarely, a nice road bar makes sense. I'm thinking of changing to the Bosco or Albatross bar. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
