Hear Hear Patrick!
I like sandals on moderate or fairly "flat" rides with my dual surface
Shimano pedals. However I would not attempt my longer , faster paced rides
with monster climbs- out of saddle -without my SPD shoes and quality
insoles. I have injured my feet in the past by attempting it. The right
equipment for given scenario can add a lot of enjoyment.
