Regarding the 12v bottle set: these are really nice, apart from having to stock hard-to-find bulbs. I briefly used one on my Herse (until I discovered there was no way to get a firm installation on the Herse's left chainstay tab; I switched to a 6 v bb dynamo). It had very little drag -- more than a hub dyno but far less than any other bottle I've used -- and the 12 v halogen gave as much light as a good, modern German 6 v LED lamp. The incandescent tail light was very bright, too.
I'd say that $125 is an excellent way to get top-o'-the-line lighting. An aside: for fork leg mounting of my last (Soubitez) bottle, on the now sold Ken Rogers trike, I found that Ortlieb's low-rider clamp on mounts -- block aluminum -- worked very well for this.
