Someone the other day said that he's interested in fixed gears but thought that climbing would be too hard. Just came back from a 21 mile rolling terrain ramble including a 1 mile rather steep hill; this on the 75" gofast. I swear up and down (heh heh) that climbing that hill, even the last 1/4 mile steep part, is easier standing on the 18 lb, 75" gofast than on the, what, 15-16 lb heavier Fargo (with Kojak wheelset) sitting in the 36/24-29 (38" - 34").
Riding **down** that same hill is considerably more work on the gofast, though! Patrick "riding fixed makes you a masher!"
