I was hoping to get some help from the gurus on this site regarding frame prep.
My new San Marcos is currently in transit and I'd like to know if it'd be a good idea to spray it with Framesaver *before *or *after *installing the headset. I'm fairly certain that I'll have a local bike shop install the headset and chase the BB threads. Should I ask the guys at the bike shop to take care of anything else? I am fairly competent mechanically and have built and reconfigured my Sam Hillborne a hundred times. But when getting that frame a couple of years ago, it already had the headset and BB installed. I will be setting up all the drivetrain parts and accessories on the new bike, but want to make sure the frame is prepped correctly before I start installing components. Any suggestions?
