I spent the summer enjoying the fancy Tektro levers<https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/oHmJpBgnAQ0QpDUmemt42dMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink>that Riv sells. I was on the fence about the bolt being on the top of the handlebar. Grips made it less noticeable, but I'm not sure I ever got fully used to having a bump there. That said, I love how solid and precise the levers feels.
Shifters... I use silver DT shifters on the Homer... love them. I use the cheapie friction thumbies from Riv on my Surly. The cheapies are not the prettiest component but they function as well as anything. Have fun putting the new bar set up together. --Andy On Sunday, October 28, 2012 7:53:30 PM UTC-7, Jared Volpe wrote: > > getting ready to set up the bombadil with albatross bars. wondering if > anyone can chime in on what brake levers and shifters they like and > what configurations they like the best.
