Finished the year with an overnight bike camping trip with the Venturing crew near Mt.Tam. Interesting that just four years ago these same students never rode further then their home town. Now they're off climbing Mt.Tam and getting lost in the Marin Headlands. Best quote by one of them explains his thoughts on the trip.
" The desire to eat processed food and going to have fun at man made roller coasters is gone. Nature itself is a roller coaster that provides the best of mental and physical nutrition." Some highlights of the trip. - Getting to the top of the West Point Inn and playing horse shoes. - Descending into Muir Beach with the sun just about setting. - Meeting up with Jim Thill on his solo bike trip around the marin headlands. - Forgetting spoons and eating oatmeal with beaf jerky.
