Ryan, I've been a big fan of the Grip Kings and Sneaker pedals and have had no issues with the bearings at all. The Sneaker pedals are a great deal but like the GKs they don't offer that great of a grip in the rain and living in Portland, OR that can be quite an issue. I put some spikes in the GKs and they're much better. I also recently got some VP Thin Gripsters and really love them. I'll most likely pick up another pair when RBW has them back in stock. If I remember correctly, you live in Seattle so the VPs would probably work well for you.
