If one were to go to the northern boundary of Pleasanton Ridge Park, it looks like one could hop a fence and get to Dublin Canyon Rd on what might not be an official trail. That would allow you to continue northwards without sidetracking too much. Of course, one would need to be willing to ride on an unofficial trail.
