In the guitar world, there's the problem known as GAS - guitar acquisition syndrome. I seem to have the bicycle equivalent. I also tend to scatter some of them around the world, so that I don't need to put up with the PITA that is present-day air travel with bicycle. One of my bikes lives permanently in my brother's house in Switzerland and another in my sister's house in Perth, so that when I visit them I can indulge in my favourite pastime without any faffing around. Then there's my spouse, who rides as much as I do, but hasn't quite attained bicycle number equality yet, though she's getting there. And to round things out, we have the touring tandem and the go-fast tandem.
