Decided to do some exploring around my home. Road over to Big Tujunga Canyon and rode up Oro Vista Rd a private drive with access to the Western part of the Angeles National Forest.
I had wanted to to catch Conover Fire Rd but ended up on some steep single track which finally connected to the BP & Line Rd which I took West. I dropped down to Little Tujunga Canyon Rd by way of the Ebby Herreres Truck Trail. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pedalpusher61/sets/72157633119051057/ Once on Little Tujunga Canyon Rd I headed South West towards Hansen Dam up and over and dropped into the Wash to see if it was possible to navigate back up to Big Tujunga Canyon on dirt back home. This was a disappointment as the trail is all sand. I climbed with Homer up a steep concrete bank back out to Wentworth Street and back home. As I left late in the day the temperature was around 75F I'll be riding coastal in the Summer.
