The wife and I used an Henry Shires Tarp Tent on our 05 PCT hike. We
abandoned it after a couple hundred miles due to overcrowding. I forget the
model name (it has it's own poles ie no hiking poles needed). It was
labeled a "2-person". We joked that 1.5 would be more accurate. I continue
to use it as a solo shelter and it's great. Have had it out in big winds,
snow, and rain and lived to tell the tale.I'm 6'3" 190lbs. Mine has a
floor, full bug net w/ zippered door, and a "beak" (covered porch).

I'm not really up to date on their current line up, but my Tarptent
experience has been great.

All that said... I prefer to sleep in my Hennessy Hammock. And in the NW
finding trees is rarely a problem.

FWIW... My fantasy shelter is a Warbonnet Hammock.
