I weigh 250 and I can trackstand for a minute or so.
I'm going to go ride my bike, and see what I do at lights when I don't
trackstand. I think I often just dismount, with the right foot on the
ground, left foot on the pedal at 10am, ready to power down. On the
kickoff, I rise up onto the saddle, and catch the right pedal with my foot
as it comes over the top. The only downside is that the Brooks nose bolt
might catch a back pocket, but that hasn't happened in years.

If you want to stay on the saddle, can you tiptoe the left foot, and lean
farther out a bit farther to get the tripod effect with less stretch? I
need to test this myself, to see if it even makes sense.

Off to the ride the bike and eat some lunch,
Philip
