Brian: You may also notice some color change on the Acorn (look under a flap if it has any). I have an early boxy Rando that is a nice tan, but when I flip up the flap over the small front pocket I can see it's faded quite a bit. The fade is even so not obvious until looking at an area not exposed to sunlight. Mine is maybe 4 years old (???) and has seen plenty of SoCal UV exposure.
Hopefully someone who has both bags can comment.
