Some of you may have seen on the iBob group that I picked up a nice T700 a while back. Fantastic bike, but I made it even better this week! The latest mods include: Rivendell Bosco Bars, Dia-Compe levers, Brooks B67saddle, MKS touring pedals, outer chainring replaced with a guard. And the most surprising and wonderful hack I think I've ever done: adapted a vintage Rhode Gear V-lock handlebar pack mechanism to a Rivendell Brand V Grab Sack. No mods at all to the wood internal stiffener or hardware - like they were made for each other. Makes a great front pack, and the hardware is rock solid. Oh, and the bike has come into it's own too - a very smooth and comfortable machine. I may slap some Jack Brown's on it for a little more cush, but the Ruffy Tuffy's are rather nice, and I like the svelte look of everything as it is. Hammered Honjo's would look great - right?
