Patrick M. and Peter M. make good points. One of the things I like about
this list is that it's generally civil respectful. Sure, snarky remarks can
be made. I know I've contributed my share, but overall there seems to be a
healthy element of respect and not taking ourselves too seriously.

I don't know that MUSA shorts look any less ridiculous than bibs. I have
both, ride in both and like both. 95% of my rides this year have been done
in eitehr MUSA bottoms or Chrome bottoms. While I'm not a big fan of the
way the MUSA shorts look--too short, too billowy--they're great on hot
days. I prefer the MUSA shorts when I'm off the bike checking out a
waterfall, view or grabbing a bite to eat.

Yesterday as I was heading back from the Columbia River Gorge, I was
yo-yoing back and forth with some guys on race bikes, one plastic, one
steel. Our paces eventually coalesced and we talked a bit. Our set-ups were
completely different as was our attire and yet we were all out enjoying the
Gorge by bike. What's not to like?
