Being a member and being signed in are two different things. I know I've gotten the error you mention, though I do not remember the details. I presume that is what I did to "fix" it. If you use a phone or tablet to access the group, they may not remember your password, so you have to re-log in. Unless I'm wrong and the issue is completely different. Good luck!
