Hi Christian, I really like Kenda Slant Six tires for mixed terrain use. They roll very well on pavement, and still do great on the dirt. My of my MTB rides involved riding ~5 miles to the trailhead, so I want something that rolls well on the road. My dirt is all hard-pack as well, not loamy or wet BTW. They do wear down relatively fast, which isn't all that bad if you ride them on the asphalt a lot (makes them faster!). I recommend them: http://www.jensonusa.com/Bicycle-Tires/Kenda-Slant-Six-29-DTC-Folding-Tire
Vee also has a clone that I'm sure is just as good for a bet less: http://www.jensonusa.com/Bicycle-Tires/Vee-Rubber-Vee-8-29-Tire On 7/4/13, Christian <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > Rather than wade too deeply into the online mountain bike waters I thought > I'd ask this here.
