Hugh, Thank you so much for organizing this. The following is the source of my ambiguity, quoted from my school district's start-up meeting calendar:
"Friday, August 23, we will be meeting at Peninsula High School for our 9-12 District Professional Development Day starting at 8:00AM. Around 3PM, PV and Pen staff will be having a kick-off mixer (more info to come)." What this means is that I have no idea when I can join you all for the ride. Even if I don't go to the mixer, if I'm not free until 3, I'm screwed with So. Cal Friday traffic. I figure I'll be joining the ride Saturday morning.
