Thanks for the tip. I have been using Fizik bar gel under the Brooks tape. 
I forgot it was under there! I discovered it yesterday when I tried two 
layers of Cinelli gel tape over it.... Three layers of goosh turned out  to 
be  too soft, pushes into the parts of my hand that the doctor told me not 
to put pressure on. Back to Brooks over gel pads....
