I don't know what use you're looking for so keep that in mind... I don't like heavy-duty tires, but that's because my kind of riding doesn't need them. If you need 'em, you need 'em! :-) That said, just going through Schwalbe's site, here are 26"X50mm tires that are all around 30% lighter in the 6-700g range.

I've used the Conti T&C before, and they're nice tires. Same with the Kenda Slant Six, which is my favorite tire if you want more off-road capability.
