I have to agree with Steve; my 58 feels just right with 30 mm Parigi Roubaix, and it will take tires that are considerably fatter.
Though delicate, the P-Rs -- or tires of a similar quality -- might be an alternative if someone wants a smoother ride without converting the wheels.
