Thanks Paul

Yeah, I just carry the trangia (filled with enough fuel) in whatever bag
I'm using at that moment. Trangia, matches and a baggie of coffee grounds
is all I need to carry that isn't carried on the Klean Kanteen itself.

As for the cone, I find the key is the rivet. Other cones and screens I've
had flounced around like a loose spring until fully set up, but the rivet
holds the cone's shape to only expanding/contracting at the bottom for use
or storage. With nothing more than the rivet and a spoke to hold the
Kanteen the right distance above the Trangia, it is a very stable structure.

I don't really know much about percolating coffee. I pretty much use the
method Russ Roca suggested in this video:

As an aside, I use two Kanteens, one for boiling and one for
brewing/drinking just because that's what I already carried on the bike.
One could boil and brew in just the uninsulated bottle. One could also just
boil in the bottle and then use the hot water for a different coffee making
system. Or, even tea.
