A few years ago, Rivendell sold great short wool socks, made by Wilderness Wear.

I bought five pairs. Some were pink, some were grey, all were just
wonderful socks. I wear them all year round. Alas, they are wearing
out. Rivendell no longer sells them, it looks like Wilderness Wear
doesn't even make them anymore, and anyway Wilderness Wear is in
Australia and I'm in California.

Does anyone know of another short wool sock that would be similar?
Lots of wool, not too much lycra? The Wilderness Wear sock has terry
loops in the inside, which makes them good for hiking too. The fashion
in wool socks nowadays is to make a tight lycra cuff at the top, which
I find uncomfortable. What short wool socks are working for you guys?

It isn't a contest. Enjoy the ride.
