I wish someone would give *me* a Quickbeam!

If you can ride ss for 200km, then your are strong enough for a 70" -- 75"
gear. The 15 t will give you a 72", and a 44 will give you a 70" with the
17 t. Me, I'd opt for the 44/17 (but then, I'm nowhere near able to ride
125 miles at a go).

Scuttlebutt has it that cogs smaller than 16 t give up some measurable
efficiency compared to larger ones, so perhaps the 44/17 is the good choice.

44/17 is the smack-in-the-middle cruising gear on my 2X7 Rambouillet, that
gets 90% of the use.

We need photos, you know.
