Nathan, everything you wrote was exactly my experience at the shop last Thursday. I should have taken a photo of the lug ceiling; it's classic Riv cleverness. The day I was there, the Cheviot had not been moved down to the store yet. That sample with the Bosco bar and sprung saddle is sweet; that seems to be the ideal incarnation of this new bike. There is now a page on the Riv site under Frames devoted to the Cheviot, and this sample is the one shown. It looks great. I didn't test-ride the 60 cm Cheviot that was at Riv Headquarters, which is probably a good thing.
