Jim, Thanks for taking the bull by the horns and volunteering to organize an event in the MSP area I've never been to this part of America and would love to join in and especially meet other Riv folk . Since I'm a West Coaster and don't want to burn too many vacation days I'd most likely fly in. So I'm wondering is it feasible and not too presumptuous to ship one of my bikes to Hiawatha Cyclery ahead of time? Then fly in and make my way to your shop to pick it up. It would be really sweet if Hiawatha even had it put together for me. I'm sure there might be others with the same notion so probably a good idea to nail this part down. To keep the trip manageable I'll probably camp or if I find good/ reasonable (read that as inexpensive) accommodations like a hostel go that route. Really depends on how this all shapes up. If there's a good group camp area close to where all the events take place then that decision may take care of it self.
I think it would be a good idea to start a group specific to this event so everyone involved will be up to date, just my two cents. Jim M, I also really appreciate you making the effort to plan a Riv rally in the epicenter of all things Rivy...Been looking at my calendar and since it's so early in the planning I'd like to propose the weekend before the 11th as I'll be travelling back down the coast from PDX and I could extend my time to coincide with the rally. If that's asking too much I'll understand and try to figure something else out. ~Hugh"who wants to cram in as much Rivyness in 2014 as he can" Smitham "Life is like riding a bicycle.
