I use the Topeak road morph. It pumps a lot of air, and the most important thing for me is it has an extendable hose for the valve. Alot of pumps including frame pumps connect directly to the valve, and as you pump you can put stress on the valve. I've broken a tube that way when I wasn't careful pumping. The road morph has a rubber tube connecting to the valve and a little foot peg, so you pump down like a normal floor pump.
I put the pump in the 3rd water bottle position under the downtube, so it's easy to carry along with the bike. I hope you don't need to use any pumps on the road! :).
